Buxton Peace Circle

Although created by Quakers in Buxton, the Peace Circle is distinctly ’unbranded’ and open to all. There are no references to specific wars, issues, groups or religions. The poster simply reads, “Stand with us in stillness for peace”.

Passers-by and supporters are invited to join the silent circle for however long feels comfortable for them.

We stand together for peace, however each of us may understand it.

The first peace circle was held on Saturday 30th March 2024. Twenty-six people from all walks of life joined and stood for five minutes or more.

The Peace Circle will be in Buxton every Saturday bearing witness that peace is always a real alternative. Please come and join for as long as is comfortable for you. All are warmly welcome.

Every Saturday 11:00-12:00pm at the Turner Memorial, bottom of The Slopes, Buxton
